A cultura da vinha na Região Demarcada dos Vinhos Verdes (DOC) tem remotas tradições. As mais antigas referências que se conhecem acerca da existência de produção de vinho na região remontam à época romana. No entanto, a designação Vinho Verde terá surgido no século XVII.O Castelo de Arnoia e o Mosteiro de Refojos evidenciam o papel desempenhado pelas Terras de Basto nas guerras contra os Mouros. Povos anteriores à Nacionalidade (Séculos. X e XI).
The vineyard in the demarcated region of Vinho Verde (DOC) has remote traditions. The earliest known references to the existence of wine production in the region date back to Roman times. However, the name Vinho Verde has emerged in the seventeenth century.The Arnoia Castle and the Monastery of Refojos are evidence of the role played by the Lands of Basto in the wars against the Moors – peoples before the Nationality (10th and 11th Centuries).

Entre-Douro-e-Minho

Esta região estende-se por todo o Noroeste de Portugal, na zona tradicionalmente conhecida como entre-Douro-e-Minho, a mais interior da região dos Vinhos Verdes, encontrando-se a uma altitude média elevada o que permite ficar protegida dos ventos marítimos.
Geograficamente fica circunscrita pelo Rio Tâmega e um conjunto de orografia que permite um terroir de excelência, favorecido por um microclima e um solo de origem granítica com áreas argilo xistosas.
Por entre vinhas e inusitadas encostas fica a Quinta de Soutelos, da qual privilegia da vista para o encantador Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Graça situado no alto Monte Farinha. Um panorama de beleza, e muito célebre na região, pleno de paz de espírito e tradição.

Entre-Douro-e-Minho

This region extends throughout the Northwest of Portugal, in the area traditionally known as Entre-Douro-e-Minho, the innermost region of Vinho Verde, lying at a high average elevation and therefore sheltered from the sea winds.
Geographically it is circumscribed by the Tâmega River and a set of orography that allows a terroir of excellence, favored by a microclimate and a soil of granite origin with schistous clay areas.
Between vineyards and unusual hillsides is the Quinta de Soutelos, with a privileged view to the charming Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora da Graça located in the high Monte Farinha. A panorama of beauty, and very famous in the region, full of peace of mind and tradition.
